This victory marks another historic moment for the department, as all three NASELSites who contested at the faculty level emerged victorious.
In an interview with Sunmisola, who ran opposed for the office of Vice President and emerged the winner, commented that she feels honoured to be elected by AFASites into the esteemed position. "It is a proof of their trust in me and God willing, I won't betray that trust, she expressed"
When asked if she saw the victory coming, Sunmisola admitted she was doubtful at the outcome. She said "I can say for a fact that I doubted till the very end but God willing, I emerged the winner. Every contestant did their best but as it is, only one person can be elected." She further expressed her gratitude to God, department and AFASites generally.
It is worth recalling that in the previous session, two NASELSites also emerged as winners in the AFAS election.
