UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN HOLDS CAREER FAIR 2025

The University of Ibadan on the 7th November, 2025 held her career fair 2025 at the International Conference Centre.
The event tagged, “Tech, Talent and Tomorrow: Preparing Nigeria Youth for global opportunities,” had in attendance the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor ( Research, innovation and strategic Partnerships), Prof Demola Lewis(Dean of Students), Dean of Faculties and other principal officers of the University. Furthermore, in attendance were Olusegun Alebiosu (CEO/MD First bank group) who was represented by the technical adviser to the CEO, Akinsope Robert, Dr Gabriel Onagoruwa (Founding Partner, Parsons), Dr. Seun Fakorede (Executive Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Youths and Sports), Oreoluwa Atinmo (Marketing Director, GBfoods Nigeria) amongst others.
In his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof K. O Adebowale, employed the students to embrace the unique platform to connect with top employers, explore internship, job opportunities and build networks that will shape their progressional futures. In addition, Prof. Oluyemisi Bamgbose (D.V.C, Research, innovation and Strategic Partnerships) stated that the university does not only prepare students for the future, but equip students to define it.
The keynote speaker described talent as the currency of tomorrow and made mention of the fact that technology rewards curiosity. The guest speaker added by admonishing the students to embrace growth, even though it might be a challenging one.
The event featured virtual testimonies from the alumni and also a panel discussion on the topic, “Tech as a Launchpad: How Nigerian Youth Can Compete Globally in the Digital Economy" where five seasoned entrepreneurs enlightened the students on how to leverage on technology in the world of today.
