The University of Ibadan Opens Hall Accommodation Portal for 2025/2026 Session

The University of Ibadan has announced the opening of its accommodation portal for undergraduate students seeking spaces in the Halls of Residence (HoRs) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a notice issued by the Student Affairs Division and signed by the Dean of Students, Prof. Demola Lewis, on the 26th of February 2026, a phased application schedule was outlined and it was stated that fresh students are expected to apply between the 26th of February and the 4th of March 2026, final year students from the 1st of March to the 6th of March 2026, and other returning students from 5th of March to 9th of March 2026. Postgraduate students however will be granted access to the accommodation module at a later date.

The management also clarified that all previous accommodation applications have been cleared; therefore, students who had applied earlier must reapply through the portal to be eligible for allocation. The notice further stated that no fresh student will be accommodated before the 2nd of March 2026, while returning students will not be accommodated before the 5th of March 2026.



The notice further stated that to complete the process, applicants are required to log into the student portal, fill out the Hall Application form, and upload a recent passport photograph that meets the specified requirements. Returning students also must confirm completion of their Jaja registration before submission and after approval by the Hall Warden, students are expected to pay the Hall Fee and Basic Hall Dues, while Optional Hall Dues remain discretionary. Once payment has been confirmed, the students’ room number will be reflected on their Hall Allocation page. 

The University then warned that applications with passport photographs that do not meet the stated specifications: format, size, clarity, and background requirements will be rejected.

OSISANWO BECOMES FULL PROFESSOR AT THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH Zenas Olanipekun Dr. Ayo Osisanwo of the Department of English, University of Ibadan has received his promotion to become a full Professor, effective October 1st, 2025 . He is now Professor Ayodele A. Osisanwo. His field cuts across Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis. In an interview with the NASELS Press, he admitted that the validation process started a year ago, but the journey itself involved burning the midnight oil, considering the number of papers he had to write and submit for assessment.
