University of Ibadan’s Vice-Chancellor Extends Warm Easter Greetings to Staff and Students

In commemoration of Easter, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor K.O. Adebowale, has extended his warm Easter message to the academic staff, students and administrative and technical staff.


In a release accessed through the University website, Adebowale greeted all members of the University community and Nigeria at large, urging everyone to drive safely, celebrate responsibly and be vigilant about their security and wellbeing.


He further advised the community to continue upholding the values that the institution has been known for as a premier university: integrity, scholarship, service and community. He also urged all to extend a hand of fellowship to one another, demonstrating empathy to those who are struggling and celebrating with those who are joyful.


The release read in part: "As we break for the Easter holidays, I urge all members of our community to travel safely, celebrate responsibly and remember to be vigilant about our security and well-being."


He concluded the release by greeting the community on behalf of the Senate, Management, and his family. "On behalf of the Senate, Management and my family, I wish you a happy and blessed Easter celebration."
