AFAS Sets Friday, 14th August as Deadline for Faculty ID Card Payment

The Association of Faculty of Arts Students, University of Ibadan (AFAS) has announced Friday, 14th August 2026, as the deadline for payment of the Faculty ID Card, stating that there will be no extension.


In the memo, students wishing to obtain the ID Card are advised to complete their payment together with  the Basic Dues through the online Bidra payment link.


According to the breakdown provided, Basic Dues cost N4,000, while the Faculty ID Card costs N1,000, bringing the total to N5,000, exclusive of applicable transaction charges.


Students were also urged to pay only the precise sum indicated on the payment platform, as this would guarantee smooth processing of the transaction and prompt delivery of the receipt to their email address. 


The memo further noted that students who “have already paid for the Faculty ID Card are required to join the AFAS community and their respective departmental groups using the link attached to the memo”.

 DR. AYODELE A. OSISANWO BECOMES FULL PROFESSOR AT THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH Zenas Olanipekun Dr. Ayo Osisanwo of the Department of English, University of Ibadan has received his promotion to become a full Professor, effective October 1st, 2025 . He is now Professor Ayodele A. Osisanwo. His field cuts across Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis. In an interview with the NASELS Press, he admitted that the validation process started a year ago, but the journey itself involved burning the midnight oil, considering the number of papers he had to write and submit for assessment. When asked how he feels about the promotion, he said, “attaining the professorate is usually something of joy, something one prays about and something many desire."
