UI Opens Portal for NELFUND Loan Refund for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The University of Ibadan management has opened the portal for the 2025/2026 academic session NELFUND loan refund.


In a statement made available to the student community by the Students' Union President, Comrade Adeboye Temidayo (DEBOYE), via his personal WhatsApp status, all students who have paid their school fees in full or in part before the approval of their NELFUND loan for the 2025/2026 academic session are required to log in to https://uinelfundsupport.ui.edu.ng and provide the necessary information for refunds.


"The portal for refund will be open from Monday, 17th August 2026, for a period of four (4) weeks. Students are advised to read and carefully follow all instructions in the manual before submitting the required details. The status of refund can be tracked on the same platform. Please note that the NELFUND loan refund application is completely online. Students are therefore not required to submit paper documents," the statement read.

All eligible students are encouraged to apply within the stipulated period, the statement added.

 DR. AYODELE A. OSISANWO BECOMES FULL PROFESSOR AT THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH Zenas Olanipekun Dr. Ayo Osisanwo of the Department of English, University of Ibadan has received his promotion to become a full Professor, effective October 1st, 2025 . He is now Professor Ayodele A. Osisanwo. His field cuts across Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis. In an interview with the NASELS Press, he admitted that the validation process started a year ago, but the journey itself involved burning the midnight oil, considering the number of papers he had to write and submit for assessment. When asked how he feels about the promotion, he said, “attaining the professorate is usually something of joy, something one prays about and something many desire."
